Broken Bow Lake is a reservoir in southeastern Oklahoma, located on Mountain Fork River and 9 miles northeast of the town of Broken Bow in McCurtain County. It is one of the largest freshwater lakes within the state of Oklahoma, and a popular tourist destination for locals and visitors from neighboring Texas and Arkansas. The lake stretches 22 miles back into the Ouachita Mountain country where its unusual beauty and scenic appeal beckons all sorts of nature enthusiasts. The mountain terrain is densely forested and there are many species of birds native to the area for birdwatchers to enjoy.

Pine Creek Lake is located on Little River, approximately 8 miles north of Valliant in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. The lake extends into Choctaw and Pushmataha Counties. Opportunities for sightseers and nature lovers are many at Pine Creek. The forest resources of the project are managed to improve the scenic quality of the park areas and adjoining land and create additional interest in trails for hiking, horseback riding, and exploration. The high ratio of shoreline length to water area at Pine Creek Lake is conducive to good fish production.

David Hess is the guide fisherman for your next fishing trip to Southeast Oklahoma. He is an experienced guide fisherman on Broken Bow Lake and Pine Creek Lake. When he isn't working at the local paper mill David can be found doing what he loves best, fishing. It's that love for fishing that inspired him to become a licensed fishing guide and share David's Guide Service with everyone. He's been on the waters of Broken Bow Lake and Pine Creek Lake for over 20 years, and fished them both with family and friends alike.
